Charleston Wedding Photographer | Murray & Elizabeth

I just absolutely ADORE every sweet detail of Murray and Elizabeth’s wedding. They are the sweetest couple and really put everything into making their day completely memorable and all their own. From the antique doors welcoming guests into their ceremony that came from Murray’s childhood home, to the unique cake stands Elizabeth has collected over the years with dreams of opening her own bakery- their wedding was FILLED with personality.

I am so glad to have met these two, and I have Google to thank. 🙂 Nearly a year ago, I wrote a post about a sweet wedding I shot in Georgia. I titled the post “A Summer Under the Trees” after a line from one of my favorite love stories. In the post, I described my feelings about marriage and how weddings are so lovely, but the meaning behind them is so much heavier and not to be taken lightly. Elizabeth, wanting to marry under the beautiful oaks the south is known for, stumbled upon my blog. She, Murray and I hit it off and had a blast shooting their engagement photos in Fernandina Beach. Being so far away, I had no idea the time and thought these two had put into their wedding. When I arrived I was blown away.

It was such an honor to document Murray and Elizabeth’s wedding day. I hope you enjoy the photos!

When I arrived, Elizabeth was so excited that she was all ready to go, while her girls were still in hair and makeup. 🙂 I usually don’t have a lot of time to do photos of just the bride, but it was a welcome change. She looked absolutely gorgeous. The old plantation house at Lowndes Grove really complimented her style.
I’m usually SO into color, and don’t feature a lot of black and white shots, but I just love the next few photos. She looks so timeless.
Cutest little flower girl ever? Yes. Elizabeth’s niece was just SO cute. Her smile was a little forced when we were getting the photo below, so they just mentioned the ring bearers name and she couldn’t help but giggle. 🙂
I love the lanterns their florist brought in to hang from the trees.
Murray and Elizabeth wanted to honor their passed relatives by incorporating old family photos into their wedding. I thought that it was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture.
Cutest thing ever! They met the day before and just fell in love apparently. 🙂
Elizabeth’s mom used pecans grown on Murray’s family’s farm to make praline syrup as their guests favors. Meaningful AND delicious.
Murray saved a pretty penny by hanging up the chandelier himself. Elizabeth was so proud. I have a feeling he is going to be going above and beyond for her for a very long time to come. 😉

Congrats, you two! I know you are going to have a very long and happy marriage! I hope you look back on the photos often and smile.
